Corona virus (COVID-19) is infections caused due to droplets produced through coughing, sneezing. These droplets settles on surfaces and can also travel through air for long distance.
Studies have shown that the COVID-19 virus can survive for up to 72 hours on plastic and stainless steel, for 48 hours on metals and for 72 hours on cardboard/paper/wood.
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020, and a pandemic on 11 March.
Symptoms
It's been observed mild illness includes some of common sign like cold, fever, cough, nasal congestion, headache, fatigue, conjunctivitis, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of taste, loss of appetite, loss of odour(smell), body ache, eyes irritation, inflammation of eyes, watery eyes, running nose, difficulty in swallowing food and water.
Complications may include pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome and can also cause death.
People of all ages can get infected by COVID-19 and become seriously ill.
Anyone who experience fever and/or cough associated with difficulty breathing/shortness of breath, chest pain/pressure, or loss of speech or movement should seek medical attention immediately.
Preventive Measures
Quarantine and Social Distancing.
Wear a mask and if possible, keep at least one meter distance from other people and do not touch surfaces with your hands.
Clean surfaces around you frequently, they are easily be cleaned with common household disinfectants that will kill the virus.
Always clean your hands with an alcohol-based sanitizer or wash them with soap and water.
Avoid touching your eyes, mouth, or nose.
Build up good immune system to fight back with infection causing germs and bacterias
Do normal breathing exercises followed by YOGA.
Take proper sleep, proper food on time and don't stress yourself more.
Maintain and follow proper hygiene around you.
Use neat and clean washed cloths in daily wear.
Drink Luke warm water regularly.
Drink hot tea, hot coffee & hot milk.
Eat warm food.
